On 4 December 2016, HSK 1., HSK 2., HSK 3. and HSK 4. written exams, as well as HSKK I. and HSKK II. oral language exams are available at Confucius Institute at University of Szeged.

On 3th September 2016, the Confucius Institute at University of Szeged participated already for the fourth time at International Fish Soup Festival. According to the traditions, our teachers and students of the Confucius Institute waited everyone who likes the oriental cousine and those who are interested in the Chinese culture.
At 3th September 2016, from 10 o’clock the Confucius Institute at the University of Szeged will transform the Fish Soup Festival into an international event. The Institute will participate at the event already at the fourth time, where beside the Chinese fish soup the audience will have the chance to taste other eastern specialities.
On 10th June, the SZTE Confucius Institue also participated at the open day of the Lauder Javne Jewish Community School in Budapest, Hungary. Students of the school and their parents alike got acquainted with Chinese culture, and got introduced to the possibilities of Chinese language learning offered by the Institute.
In the afternoon of June 16th, 2016. the Institute organised the last Confucius Teahouse of the current academic year, with Si-Mei Eszter Kovács kung-fu master as guest. During the conversation she talked about the real meaning and philosophy behind kung-fu, as well as about language learning and motivation. Furthermore, the awards of the „My China” elementary school drawing competition were also handed over to the winners. The participants of the Teahouse had the chance to take a look at the exhibited drawings, seeing how the younger generation views China.
On 4th June, SZTE Confucius Institute has been visited the Jankay Tibor Bilingual Primary School in Békéscsaba, where CI Stuff tokk part on Family Day. Both parents and kids could meet with the opportunities of Chinese language learning.

On May 29, Children’s Day, the Confucius Institute organized Panda Day again, which proved to be a great success, since more than 200 people participated in the activities.

This year, several Chinese professors were invited by Confucius Institute in Szeged. On 02 May 2016 our nest guest professor is Mr. Sun Dongping, who gives a lecture with title of Petőfi in China.
On 7 to 8 April 2016 the first Hungarian Confucius Institutes Director’s Forum was held in Szeged. The event is hosted by the Department of the SZTE Confucius Institute, which waited the Institutions’s Chinese and Hungarian directors and Hungarian colleagues with many programs.

On 09 February (Tuesday) 2016 at 4.30 p.m. the first event of the new program series of the Confucius Institute, the Chinese Kaleidoscope was organized at the Rector’s Office building. Richard Mohr, director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Szeged held a presentation which was called „Enchanting China”.
The Confucius Institute at University of Szeged will start a new lecture series which is called the Chinese Kaleidoscope. The lectures will be held in every month and the visitors can get an insight into the history and everyday life of China.
