Meet BRESC! The Belt and Road Youth English Speaking Competition (BRESC), initiated in 2019 by China Daily, is dedicated to providing a dynamic platform for cultural interactions between China and the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road.” The event includes qualifying competitions held in Belt and Road countries, semi-finals and grand final in China, and cultural tour programs.

Over the past six years, the competition has attracted participants from more than 50 countries and regions. Participants are encouraged to share their views with local and international communities and contribute to the advancement of mutual learning between cultures and to the solidarity of humanity.
