Present on the occasion were Chinese director Dr. Wang Lei, Hungarian director Richard Mohr of the Confucius Institute at the University of Szeged (SZTE CI) and all faculty and staff members. The Confucius Institute offered the typical Chinese dishes – fish soup with pickled vegetables and beef brisket soup with tomorrow and mushroom, whose booth was a most frequented place among visitors.

The booth of the Confucius Institute attracted a lot of students and their parents, who showed a strong interest in Chinese cuisine and culture, and eagerly inquired about Chinese language courses and Chinese cultural activities of the Confucius Institute.

During the festival, Mr. Botka László, the mayor of the City of Szeged Botka L came to the booth. He cordially greeted every member of the Confucius Institute and expressed his appreciation for the role played SZTE CI in bringing the Chinese language and Chinese culture to the people of his city. He also promised that he would always offer the greatest support.
