The Confucius Institute at University of Szeged supports the preparation of Hungarian-Chinese bilingual education in Szeged
In November 2, 2021, the first meeting of the Preparatory Committee for Institute of Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual Education in Szeged, led by Judit Plesovszkiné Ujfaluczki, Director of the Szeged Education District Center, was held with strict epidemiological regulations.
Thanks to the close cooperation between Confucius Institute at University of Szeged and the Eötvös Grammar School, Primary School in Szeged Region, was able to start preparing the first Hungarian-Chinese bilingual education outside of Budapest. Over the past nearly ten years, Eötvös Grammar School and Kossuth Lajos Primary School have developed excellent second-language Chinese language education from the first grade of primary school to graduation. Bilingual education will be built on these foundation. Beside the management of the Szeged Education District, the members of the committee are the leaders of the Eötvös Grammar School, Primary School in Szeged Region and the Confucius Institute at University of Szeged.
