Hungarian-Chinese relationships are not restricted to protocol contacts any more: beyond economic and cultural cooperation there is a strong friendship connecting the two countries, emphasized Tibor Navracsics, Deputy Prime Minister on Wednesday at the opening ceremony of the II. The event was also attended by HE. Xiao Qian, recently accredited Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Hungary. In his welcoming speech he highlighted that Chinese-Hungarian relationship goes back to 63 years. Since then, partnership has strengthened by a great number of significant visits and 23 twin-city contacts have been established. The upswing of mutual trade between the two countries is also an indicator of the fact that Hungary has become one of the most important partners of China – emphasized the Ambassador.
