At this occasion, our volunteer teacher Yingzi Xu has introduced our guests into the world of Chinese tea culture in one and a half hour and showed a tea making performance. Everyone, who took part on this lecture, could taste two various of Chinese tea.

At first, teacher Yingzi Xu served a famous tea, Tieguanyin. At the background, they could hear soft Pipa music (Chinese traditional instrument). She told the basic informations from this type of tea, which is called Chinese kung-fu tea as well.

Director Zhang had a little speech from origin of tea culture, he said that “Tasting tea is like a taste from Chinese people’s life.” Our guest could ask questions after the ceremony. Also, the directors warmly welcomed the Hungarian students to learn Chinese at Confucius Institute.

Teacher Xu introduced another well-known Chinese tea, West Lake Longjing, which was preferred by everyone. Language and culture are inseparable, we hope through similar cultural programs more Hungarian students will be interested in Chinese language as well.

See you on our next programs.
