On 16 December 2014 (Tuesday), The Confucius Tea House as part of a lecture series was first organized by SZTE Confucius Institute at the Rector’s Office! This lecture was such a great success that even the organizers did not expect such a great surprise.

The lecture was organized by the Public Coffee-House of Szeged and SZTE Confucius Institute. Within the confines of the lecture, Dr. Cao Hang (the Institute’s Chinese director) and Mohr Richárd (Hungarian director of the Institute) introduced themselves and gave a short introduction about their Chinese experiences, and last but not least, they mentioned the forthcoming programs of the Institute in 2015.

The opening speech at the opening ceremony of the tea house was followed by an out of the common lecture, because the main purpose of the organizers was to make the whole lecture a bit more interactive in order to set a congenial atmosphere. The guest could get more acquainted with Chinese culture by joining to the conversation. During the lecture, delicious and tasty teas were served in traditional Chinese tea cups by the colleagues of Confucius Institute. Firstly, the participants could taste hot black tea, which was followed by green tea, and last but not least, the guests could even taste yellow tea as well. We can proudly assert that everyone was satisfied with our special Chinese teas, especially in this cold weather.

We welcome everyone to join our next Tea House program which is going to be held on 27 January 2015, at 5 p.m. when our next guest will be Dr. Kusai Sándor diplomat, economist and late Ambassador of Beijing. The title of his lecture is “Chinese dream – where China came from and where it goes”. The main aim of the event is that the guests have the opportunity to taste different kind of real, authentic, Chinese teas by which the guest can get much closer to Chinese culture.

A warm welcome to everyone to join our next Tea House, and we are thankful that so many guests had visited us! Since the great number of the audience, probably, the venue of the lecture will be organized at another place about which we will inform everyone in time.

Let’s have tea again next time!
